FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I make an appointment?

Call or email Me Pen Sophea, or use the contact form. Meetings take place in Phnom Penh by appointment, or by video call for clients outside Cambodia.

How are fees set?

Fees depend on the nature and complexity of the matter. They are explained during the first meeting and agreed in writing before any work begins. Payments are made only to Me Pen Sophea, against a receipt — never in cryptocurrency or to a third party's account.

Is what I tell you confidential?

Yes. Information shared with a lawyer is protected by professional secrecy, within the limits set by law. For a first contact, a short description of your situation is enough: do not send sensitive documents by email before the first meeting.

My bank account has been frozen. What should I do?

Do not ignore it and do not move or hide funds. Gather documents showing the origin of the money and seek advice before responding. Me Pen Sophea can help you understand the basis of the measure and the available procedures.

I received a request for information concerning a suspicious transaction. Should I answer?

Requests from your bank or the authorities must be taken seriously and answered within the time given. A lawyer can help you prepare a complete and accurate response that protects your rights.

I lost money in an online scam. Can you get it back?

No one can honestly guarantee recovery. The chances depend on how quickly you act, where the money went and whether it can still be traced. Me Pen Sophea will give you a realistic assessment of the options available in Cambodia.

Do you work with clients outside Cambodia?

Yes. Me Pen Sophea works in English and can coordinate with your lawyer in your country. A first exchange can take place by video call.

How can I be sure I am really dealing with Me Pen Sophea?

Check his registration in the official directory of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia (member No. 3296) and use only the contact details listed on this website. He never contacts people first to offer to recover funds.
